As a college student working part-time at a restaurant, Ramsin Bitmansour was asked by his manager to clean the restaurant’s windows. He quickly realized he could supplement his income by cleaning the windows of other businesses in the area.
Ramsin gained additional janitorial experience and in 1981 launched the company that would later become known as Facility Masters, one of California’s premiere building maintenance service companies.
In 2001, the company expanded into Southern California, under the leadership of the southern California division president Eric Christiansen. While managing growth each year, Eric oversaw the division’s acquisition of a local janitorial services competitor and expanded the company’s reach throughout the region.
In 2003 Facility Masters merged with Jim Machado’s San Jose, CA based Bottom Line Janitorial. Jim became the northern California division president and has continued to lead the division with vice president Ozzie Almeida.
Today, Facility Masters serves clients in both northern and southern California with more than 400 employees providing janitorial and related building maintenance services to more than 10 million square feet of property.
With roots in the Silicon Valley, Facility Masters has an extensive expertise cleaning in high-tech, cleanroom and biotech facilities. But the same approach to quality janitorial and building maintenance services also extends to corporate, healthcare, homeowner association, hospitality, retail , transportation, educational, governmental, industrial and production facilities.
In addition, the company provides added value through its commitment to cleaning for health, green cleaning and bundling multiple building maintenance services with one trusted company including security services through its security services division Echelon Security.
